Mayfield Middle School has a new eighth-grade Assistant Principal, Mr. Sheppard.

This is Mr. Sheppard’s first year as an administrator. Prior to this, Mr. Sheppard taught as a Mayfield High School math teacher for nine years. He believes that his former role at Mayfield High School will help him with his current position. He says, “I know where the eighth graders are going; I have been there for a very long time.”

Outside of the school day, his hobbies include reading and golfing. He also thinks that family-time is a “must.” Mr. Sheppard he has two daughters, ages ten and five, who attend Lander Elementary.

So far Mr. Sheppard says he is having a great time at the middle school. He believes that the teachers, students, and all the staff are fantastic. He is looking to fit in with the rest of Mayfield Middle School and “put his stamp on things.”
