Dewey is very well-known around team Hele’s hallway. He is Mr. Catullo’s Miniature Dachshund who he has had for about 3 years now. Catullo describes Dewey as a very chill dog that does not break very many rules. Sometimes he does overreact when he sees another dog or his worst enemy: a car horn.

Dewey is a really fun dog, according to Catullo, who admits he may be a bit biased. Dewey loves his pink flamingo toy, but not as much as he likes licking baby Roman’s toes. Roman is Mr. Catullo’s young son, who is still very unsure when it comes to Dewey.

Mr. Catullo and Dewey are extremely close and do everything together. When Mr. Catullo gets home, Dewey follows him around the house if he is not sleeping. Dewey also loves to cuddle, especially in his blanket covered in hearts. But there is one thing that Dewey loves a lot, and that is sitting and watching his favorite baseball player, Lonnie Chisenhall, throw the ball into the infield. If he is not watching the game, then Dewey is either sleeping or trying to get some apples or bananas from Mr. Catullo. That’s right: he loves skinned apples and bananas. He also goes nuts for beef jerky, but Mr. Catullo does not allow Dewey to eat it.

A rather interesting, but embarrassing, fact about Dewey is that he goes bald during the winter. He does not go completely bald, though; he mostly goes bald on his bottom and behind the ears. During the spring and summer, Dewey loves to sit on the porch and lay in the sun. Sometimes, he lays there so long that one side of his belly is sun burnt.

Overall, Dewey is a very beloved member of Catullo’s family and a known figure in team Hele’s history class. He is truly one of a kind.
