The 2025 Grammy Awards celebrated the best in the music industry and showcased performers, musicians, and artists. The 67th annual Grammys was hosted in Los Angeles and was televised from 8pm to 11:30pm on February 2nd and hosted by Trevor Noah.
A few artists who were nominated to win were Doechii, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Chris Brown, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Beyonce, Post Malone, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, the Beatles, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and Dan Nigro.
Chris Brown won for best R&B Album, Best R&B performances, and Best African music with the song 11:11 Deluxe.
Kendrick Lamar took home five awards in the night, making him the most awarded artist. He won best rap song, song of the year, best rap performance, record of the year, and music video of the year.
Bruno Mars won for the best pop duo/group performance and song along with Lady Gaga for “Die with a Smile.”
Doechii won best rap album and also performed Catfish and Denial is a river.
Sabrina Carpenter won best pop vocal album and pop solo performance. Sabrina performed her popular songs Espresso and please please please from her Short n Sweet album.
Beyonce won Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter. It also received best country album and best country duo/group performance. Beyonce’s win was the most talked-about from the night, with many country fans angered by other more traditional country artists such as Lainey Wilson being beaten by an album that was not well-received in the country-music community.
Lastly, Chapell Roan won best new artist as well as best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance of the year. Chapell Roan also performed her popular song Pink Pony Club at the event.
